  1. Wow this doesn’t seem real, reading this makes me almost wanna cry. The whole Time you were tutoring me at my house you were fighting for your life, You are the ONLY reason I passed! I know you would be so proud of me. I wish I could see you one last time. I truly miss you. It’s like I can still hear you in my head helping me out, I keep remembering that voice and laugh and the words you would always say when either my brother or I came up to you. I tried texting you to see ow everything was going because I wanted to see you again, but I never did. What happend hurt a lot of us. All I gotta say is the worst parts over now, be happy and spread your wings like a real angel would. 🙂 – you’re student Michelle

  3. Ron, Carol and family — It is with great sadness that I read of the passing of Kathy. She worked right across the hall from me for years so I was witness to the tremendously positive effect she had on those students who were fortunate enough to be under her tutelage. She was a wonderful person and I greatly enjoyed the time spent with her, she will be missed. She was always interested in the welfare of others. I hope you can recall the fond moments at this time.

  6. I was fortunate to chat with Kathy just a short time ago as I had not seen her in many years. What a blessing she was to me, even on that day. Kathy had a smile and a spark that was contagious and a great sense of humor! She touched many lives, adults and students alike. She will be missed by many. 7. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Kathy. I always considered her my “DL friend”. I saw her every morning in the distance learning room for years and years. I was so pleased to finally meet her in person when we had staff development at Hermon-DeKalb CSD. I will miss that smile and laughter.

  8. The earth is not our home, it is a testing ground for our soul. Rest in peace dear Kathy. We know where your soul is, you are making the angels smile.

  9. Here is a funny memory..I still remember my first weeks at Hermon Dekalb and meeting Kathy almost everyday for the first few months I was there..she was so interested in my welfare and was so friendly and positive. She stopped in to my room to check up and just say hi. It was six months into the school year before I realized she wasn’t an assistant principal coming to check up on me..just someone being nice and friendly. She helped make my time at HDCS fun.
