  1. Dear Mrs. Mattot and Family,
We are both sorry for the lost of your family member and our friend Russell. Rich says they graduated together at Hermon-Dekalb. It is amazing how fast life takes us and how little time we are here. His talents will live on forever and carry on for those he influenced. May he always continue to play his music and draw his illustrations. Sincerely, Richard and Jeanne Hamilton

  2. Lenore& Family,
Ron & I are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Russell had a lot of talents and I’m sure you had a great influence on his interests in the arts and music.

  3. Russ and I went all the way through school together then went our separate ways. 2 years ago he drove up my driveway and we talked about our lives. Even after what cancer had done to him, he could still laugh and talk about his love for the outdoors and music. My most sincere condolences to his family and friends, Russell was courageous and generous and will be missed.

  4. My sincere sympathies to Russ’ family. I was in a band with Russ in 1987 with Tom Clary and Chuck Davis called “Thunder Road”. He was an awesome musician, and its strange, I hadn’t seen him in years, and he popped into my head a couple days ago for no apparent reason. So sad to hear he had passed.

    1. Thank you for the kind words and stories. Russ and I were together just over 20 years. He was 10 years older than I am and he taught me a lot about life. He had an interesting way to seeing things. Bill – Russ told me about the visit he had with you, he enjoyed it. Dewey – Russ often talked about the band and I’ve heard lots of stories from those days. I miss him. God Bless, Barbara Matott
