Evelyn M. Fiefield

Evelyn M. Fiefield, 92, formerly of Richville, died on May 8, 2019, at Highland Nursing Home, Massena.  There will be a graveside service on June 29th, 2019 at 3:00 PM, at Maple Grove Cemetery, there will be a gathering following the burial at the Richville Volunteer Fire Dept..  Evelyn is survived by her son, Dean Simmons of Richville, daughters, Diane and Albert Hull of Richville, Dawn and Tommy MacDonald of Richville, Dinah and Daniel Miller of Churubusco, brothers, Maurice and Gladys Johnson of Hammond, Jason Johnson,  grandchildren, Christopher Simmons, Dean Simmons, Deanna Simmons, Arthur Mac Donald, Lorne Mac Donald, Megan Mac Donald, Dane Miller, several great, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a son Duane Simmons, brothers, Brayton Johnson, Lwellyn Johnson, Dwayne Johnson, Charlie Johnson, sisters, Bertha Rowe, Mabel Petell, Cecilia Johnson, and Lois Johnson. Evelyn was born on September 13, 1926, in Lapeer, Michigan, the daughter of the late, Brayton and Doris Smith Johnson Sr. She married Alfred Simmons on October 15, 1949 in Edwards, he died on October 30, 1989, she then married Lloyd Fiefield on December 19, 1998, he died on January 11, 2003.  She was a chamber maid in Gouverneur and at the Granview in Ogdensburg. Evelyn enjoyed, painting pictures, growing strawberries, traveling, country music and was an avid canner. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Highland Nursing Home, 182 Highland Road, Massena, New York 13662.

  1. Sending my sincere condolences to Evelyn’s family. I have many great memories of her from when I used to do her hair. She was always laughing and full of fun. Evelyn always shared a good story with me.
