Robbie Alexander Dawson
Robbie Alexander Dawson, 61, joined his Lord and Savior on January 11, 2026. A memorial
service will be held at the Fresh Start Fellowship Church, 48 CR 14 Rensselaer Falls, NY on
February 28, 2026, at 1:00pm. This is the Log Cabin Church just off Rt 812 at Kendrew Corners.
Robbie is survived by his mother, Anne Dawson Leeson and his cat, Goofball. His father,
Maurice Dawson and stepfather, Thomas Leeson predeceased him.
Robbie was born in Woodstock, Ontario Canada, graduated from Woodstock Collegiate
Institute and proceeded to learn all he could about mechanics, welding, motorbikes, and pushing
the limits in life. “Flying Robbie Dawson” had quite the career in motor bike racing,
performance jumping as well as building and driving Monster Trucks all over the USA and
Canada. He is also known for the construction of his fire breathing dragon that was included as
part of many Monster Truck intermission shows.
After too many broken bones, Robbie retired from the Monster Truck circuit and settled in
Ogdensburg, NY where he set up two businesses: TrashGrassSnow and St. Lawrence Residential
Servies, a property management company. Robbie was very concerned about improving the local
community and bringing revenue into the area.
Robbie was very involved with his church, Fresh Start Fellowship Church in Kendrew Corners.
He dedicated countless hours to the property’s maintenance, developing building plans, video
productions of sermons, which he sent to friends all over the country, and printing weekly
bulletins. He was definitely a jack of all trades whose skills and outside the box thinking will be
sorely missed.
In 2025, Robbie became a dual citizen of the USA and Canada.
Robbie was a friend to all, was always willing to lend a helping hand, believed that everyone
deserved a second chance to prove themselves and will be deeply missed by those who knew and
loved him. Although we weep here on earth, we are secure in the knowledge that you have found
peace at last as you fly high in heaven.
