Robert E. Lottie Sr.
Robert E. Lottie Sr., 72, of DeKalb Junction, died on January 29, 2017, at his home. Calling hours will be, Thursday, February 2nd, 2 -4 and 7-9 PM, the funeral service will be, Friday February 3rd, 11 am, Pastor Martha Helmer officiating, at the funeral home, burial will be in the spring at the East DeKalb Cemetery. He is survived by his sons, Robert E. Lottie Jr. and Diane Monroe of Massena, Russell and his wife Dorcas “Sam” Lottie of DeKalb Junction, brothers, James Lottie and Melissa Sweet of DeKalb Junction, Jerry Lottie of Orleans, David Lottie of Canton, a sister, Shirley and her husband Kenneth Schwetje of Long Island, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, George Lottie, Lewis Lottie and Karen Bogardus. Bob was born on February 3, 1944 in Canton, the son of the late Lewis and Ruth Gleason Lottie. In April 1962, he married Norma J. Lucas at the DeKalb Junction United Methodist Church, she predeceased him on December 15, 2015. He worked as a custodian for St. Lawrence County (building and grounds) for 25 years, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed being outdoors. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to American Cancer Society.

So sorry to hear Bob has passed. I hope his family will find comfort in knowing he is at peace and with his sweet wife Norma. I will always remember them fondly. Good people like them are hard to find !
