Terryl L. Chase
Terryl L. Chase, 78, of DeKalb Junction, died on January 9, 2022. There will be a graveside service May 14, 2022, 11:00am at the East DeKalb Cemetery, DeKalb Junction, Pastor Martha Helmer officiating. Terryl is survived by her son, Ricky L. and his wife Kristie Chase of Ellsinore, Missouri, daughters, Bonnie and her husband Stuart Law of Hermon, Teresa and her husband Jim Clary of Russell, grandchildren, Heather Chase, Ethan and his wife Makenzie Chase, Josie Chase, Wyatt Chase, Erin Escablos, and Christopher Clary, several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brother, Jack Bishop. Terryl was born on July 15,1943 in Potsdam, to the late, Lindon and Allison Smith Bishop. She graduated from Hermon DeKalb Central School in 1962. She married Lyle Chase on September 27, 1962 at her mother’s home, he died in 1986. Terryl was a cleaner at St. Lawrence University until her retirement in 2005. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the DeKalb Junction Volunteer Fire Department. Terryl enjoyed reading, knitting mittens, listening to Willy’s Roadhouse and scratch tickets. She loved the sunshine and her cats. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Ogdensburg SPCA.
My dear sweet sister in law who has been my big sister. Gave me 3 great kids that I can love after I lost my family. They are my kids. Ricky, Bonnie, and Teresa.She was soo good to me. You have no idea how much I loved her and how much I will miss her.
Terry & I along with Julie Gray & the late Mary Ann Frisco have so many wonderful memories, thank you Terry for these. Unknown to me when I bought my home in DeKalb back in 1987, Terry owned the home across the street. We went to HDCS together graduating a year apart, and the rest is history!! I will miss you so much, until we meet again dear friend.

Miss Terry, I will miss you. Every time I came up, you always came to visit and welcome me back. We shared a lot of visits of laughing and poking fun at whatever came up for all of us to enjoy. You always treated me as part of the family and for that, I thank you so much. You were a dear sweetheart with so much love for everyone. God Bless you and all the family who are suffering because of this great loss. My prayers are with all of you.
Miss Terry always came over to visit whenever I came up and welcome me back. We shared many laughs and poke fun at whatever came up. There wasn’t a time that I visited that she didn’t come over and make me feel as part of the family. She was a real sweetheart, and I will miss you greatly. God Bless all off the family who are suffering her loss. All of you are lucky to have been able to call her family.
