Darlene D. Knapp, 63, of Amsterdam, formerly of DeKalb Junction, died at Albany Medical Center, on March 27, 2026. There will be calling hours on June 9, 2026, 12 -2 PM at the funeral home, graveside service in Union Cemetery, DeKalb following calling hours at 2:30 PM, Pastor Martha Helmer officiating. Darlene is survived by her husband Jeffrey of Utica, 1 niece and 1 nephew. She was predeceased by her sister Delight Tallman. She was born on September 20, 1962 in Canton, to the late Walter and Maryette Maracle Goodale. She graduated from Hermon DeKalb Central School in 1980. On September 6, 2003 she married Jeffrey Knapp in Maine. She was a certified nurse’s aide at United Helpers Nursing Home, Canton. Darlene was a past member of the DeKalb Junction United Methodist Church, she enjoyed crafting, playing games on her computer, collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, cooking and baking. She loved spending time with her husband. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ogdensburg SPCA.
