Michael L. McRobbie, 56, of Hermon, died on December 22, 2019, at Canton Potsdam Hospital.  There will be a Celebration of Life at AM VETS Post 11, DeKalb Junction at 2 PM, January 3, 2020.  He is survived by his wife, Denise McRobbie, children from a previous marriage, John Wilson and his wife Emily of DeKalb, Michael McRobbie of Albany, Corey Burwell of Ogdensburg, Leslie Whitton of  Hermon, Kimberly McRobbie and Randy of Gouverneur, Whitney McRobbie of Potsdam, his wife’s children Erin Tiernan of Canton, Morgan Tiernan and Jeff of Richville, Alicia Trudell and her husband Frank of Hermon, brothers, Donald McRobbie and his wife Cheryl of Waterloo, David McRobbie of DeKalb,, sisters, Cathy Hendrick and her husband Gerald of Brockport, Cherie Zira and her husband Dan of Hermon, Caryn Chilas and her husband Michael of Rochester, 26 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  Mike was born on September 10, 1963 in Gouverneur, New York, the son of the late, Lowell and Isla Jean Nichol McRobbie.  He graduated from the Hermon DeKalb Central School, and then attended SUNY Canton.  Mike was a mechanic at M R Bell in Canton and at Kerr Trucking, DeKalb Junction.  Mike loved and adored his family, he was very generous and would do anything for anyone.  He enjoyed tinkering with mechanical devices, barbeques, and hunting.  OOGA, OOGA till we meet again! Myrtle Scholl, 98, formerly of DeKalb, died on January 18, 2018, at Adirondack Tri County NRC. Burial will at Brant Lake Cemetery, at the convenience of her family. She is survived by her son David and his wife Nadine Todriff of Bolton Landing, he daughter, Cathy and her husband Grant Hayes of DeKalb Junction, 10 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, many great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased, by siblings, Stanley Randlett, Laurence Randlett, Leon Randlett, Herbert Randlett, Ruby Payne, and Esther LaPier. Myrtle was born on March 3, 1919, in Chazy, New York, the daughter of the James and Flora Stiles Randlett. She married Orville Todriff on May 4, 1947 in West Plattsburgh, New York, he predeceased her on December 29, 1964, she then married Adolph Scholl on November 23, 1974 in Brant Lake, New York, and he predeceased her on June, 1993. She was a homemaker, a clerk at SS Kregess in Plattsburgh and also a librarian in West Chazy. Myrtle was the oldest member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Brant Lake, she was also a member of the DeKalb Hermon Senior Citizen Club. She loved knitting, reading, and traveling. Marian L. Kingrey, 84, formerly of Hermon, died on December 10, 2016, at Maplewood Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. There will be a graveside service, Tuesday, December 13th, 2:30 PM at the Hermon Cemetery, her son Jasper Kingrey will be the officiant. She is survived by her sons, Jasper Kingrey of Hermon, Glenn Kingrey of Hermon, John and his wife Lori Kingrey of Hermon, grandchildren, Crystal and her husband Sean Sterling, John Kingrey and his companion Vicky Brown, Thomas Kingrey, Jacob Kingrey and his companion Amber Weller, great grandchildren, Alex, Micah, Norah, Jace and Ezra, several nieces and nephews. Her siblings, Jake Gottschald, Harless Gottschald, Curtis Gottschald and Edna Rees predeceased her. Marian was born on August 2, 1932 in Louise, Texas, the daughter of the late Adolph and Laura Tolleson Gottschald. She was previously employed by ARC in Hermon. She loved telling others stories about her family, reading, writing letters, animals, and working at the hobby farm. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to One Mind Institute, P.O. She is survived by her husband Curtis “Ralph”, sons, Steven and his wife Lisa Hammond of Rensselaer Falls, Scott Hammond of Rensselaer Falls, daughters, Stephanie Beebe of Potsdam, Shelly and her husband James Sanderson of Canton, sisters, Mary and her husband Tom DeRosia of Cicero, Nancy and her husband Hubert Schofell of Oriskany Falls, Phyllis Reed of Hermon, 9 grandchildren, Michael and his wife Kira Hammond, Kendra Hammond, Jennifer and her husband Greg Thompson, Mark Beebe, Sarah and her husband Matt Meagher, Audrey Hammond, Christian Hammond, Bridette Sanderson, Rachel Sandersons, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Carlton Allen, Debbie Downing, and Marion Perkins. Marjorie was born on April 3, 1941 in the Town of Antwerp, the daughter of the late Carlton and Phyllis Canfield Allen. She attended Hermon DeKalb Central School. On August 18, 1956 she married Curtis R. Hammond at the Russell United Methodist Church. Marjorie was a great homemaker and loved spending time with her family, knitting, sewing, quilt making, reading and traveling. She is survived by her husband James F., sons, Theodore and his wife Doris Rubin of, Kathleen, Florida, Shawn Albert and his wife Tina Rubin of DeKalb Junction, half siblings, Roger Delorme of Texas, Dorcus and her husband Rusty Lottie of DeKalb Junction, Danette and her husband Neil Hance of Rensselaer Falls, Marsha Delorme of Texas, Pamela Delorme of Texas, Michelle (and her husband Wayne Cronk of Rensselaer Falls, a sister in law Kim Delorme, special friend Jordan Roth, grandchildren, Allison Inez Goldie, Della Rae Rubin, Cassidy Rubin, James Phelps, Dylan Kelley, Shawn Patrick Rubin, Harley Nicole Rubin, Natasha Petrie, great grandchildren, Hunter, Damon, Kamon, Virginia, Brooklyn, Cameron, Elizabeth Izabell, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Mary was born on October 31, 1951 in the Canton, the daughter of the late Edward J. and Alice Dafoe Delorme Sr. She married James Mussen on October 22, 1990 at 9 PM at the home of Reverends William and Betty Masters. She graduated from Canton Central School in 1969 and worked as a chief clerk for the Department of Social Services for 21 years (was in charge of converting all files from paper to computer), retiring in 2009. Mary was a past member of the Pyrites Ladies Auxiliary and loved to read, play games on her computer and play cards. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

He is survived by his wife Joan, sons, Robert and his wife Lisa Davis of, Madrid, Kenneth J. Davis of Hermon, daughters, Penny Cornell of Canton, Mellody Davis of Hermon, brothers John Davis of Hermon, James Davis of Hermon, a sister, Esther Davis of Florida, grandchildren, Melissa Brown, Jessica Bessette, Cody Cardinell, 3 step grandchildren, great grandchildren, Brianna Breen, Lila Ann Reed, Willow Pearl Reed, 5 step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sons, Scott Davis, John Davis. Morris was born on October 27, 1939 in Colton, the son of the late Erwin and Frances Johnson Davis. He married Joan F. Davis on April 12, 1961 in Niagara Falls. Morris was a truck driver for Alcoa, Massena, retiring in 2002. He was a member of Teamster Union 687, Potsdam, AMVETS Post 11, DeKalb Junction and the Rainbow Brook Hunting Club. He loved cooking, hunting, and fishing. Melbern Aldous, 77, of DeKalb Junction, died on November 16, at his home. A memorial service will be on Friday, November 28, 11:00 am, at the Fairview Cemetery Chapel, Canton, Pastor Robert Browning officiating. He is survived by his wife Grace C, a son Claude and his wife Ola Aldous of Potsdam, a granddaughter, Lidija Grace Aldous, sisters, Grace Bowles of Alexandria Bay, Muriel Patton of Hermon, several nieces and nephews. Melbern was born on June 29, 1937 in the Town of Canton, the son of Claude and Ethel Crary Aldous. He graduated from Hermon School. Melbern married Grace Christy on June 23, 1973 at the Colton United Methodist Church, Reverend Jones officiating. He owned and operated a farm on the Cousintown Road for 38 years and was a caretaker at the Hermon Cemetery until his retirement. He was a 50 + year member of the Masonic Lodge, serving as a past master. Melbern loved to hunt, was an avid sportsman, and outdoorsman, putting in his own fire wood. Contributions can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.

Calling hours will be Friday, July 18, 2014, 6 -8 PM at the funeral home, a funeral service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday July 19th, at the DeKalb Junction United Methodist Church, Lay Pastor John Frary, officiating. A private family graveside service will be at the Dexter Cemetery, Dexter, New York. Eloise is survived by sons, Ray and Joan Young, Canton, Mark and Lynn Young, Kirkville, daughters, Susan and Michael Spadaccini, Dexter, Cynthia Young, Canton, Karon Yerdon, Baldwinsville, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Emma St. John. She was born on August 12, 1929 in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Ray and Catherine Stacy Rowland. She graduated from Dexter High School, and then earned a Bachelors’ of Science (Nursing) Degree from Syracuse University in 1951. Eloise married Keith Young on March 19, 1951 in Dexter, N.Y.; he died on March 27, 2000. She was the director of patient services for the St. Lawrence County Public Health Nursing Service for 30+ years until her retirement in 1998. Eloise was a member of the Dexter Historical Society, and the DeKalb Junction United Methodist Church. She loved family parties, picnics and get togethers. She was an avid SU Basketball and Yankees Fan, liked knitting, sewing, sports, camping and helping others. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to Dexter Historical Society.

Mary Doreen Yerdon, 87, of Hermon, died on November 25, 2013, at her home.  Calling hours will be Friday, November 29, 1 – 3 and 6- 8 PM at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be Saturday, November 30, 1:00PM at St. Mary’s Church, Canton, Father Douglas Lucia officiating, burial will follow in St. Henry’s Cemetery, DeKalb Junction.  Mary Doreen is survived by her children, Mary Ellen Caratsole, Hermon, Kathy and husband Dan Robarge of Cicero, Nancy and husband Rob Bovay of Hermon, Sue Fortin and companion Nunzio Doldo of Watertown, Deb and husband Jim Waugh, Glen falls, Joe Yerdon of Hermon, Rich and wife Sue Yerdon of Westfield, MA, Julie and husband Patrick Canavan of Queensbury, a sister, Kathleen Chase of Vernon, CT,  30 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, (was looking forward to the birth of 3 great grandchildren),  several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by children, Patricia Whitton, Michael Yerdon, Barbara Catone, brothers, Leo, Bernard and John Tiernan. Mary Doreen was born on July 14, 1926 in Canton, the daughter of John and Adele Dowe Tiernan. She graduated from Hermon High School and then graduated from the A.B. Hepburn Hospital School of Nursing, with a registered nursing degree.  She married Carlton Yerdon on November 16, 1946, at St. Henry’s  Church; he died March 10, 1992.  Mary retired from the St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services as a supervisor of the adoption unit.  Previous to that she was a registered nurse at E.J. Noble Hospital, Gouverneur and the Gillette Nursing Home.   She was a parishioner at St. Henry’s Church.   Mary Doreen devoted her entire life to her family. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Canton. Mabel is survived by her sons, John P. “Reggie” and his wife Joyce Pritchard of Johnson City, NY, William R. “Russ” and his wife Lucille Pritchard of Wimauma, FL, Ronald K. “Ron” and his wife Jan Pritchard, Clearwater, FL, her daughter Bonnie and her husband Arthur Lohr of Hightstown, NJ, a sister, Flora Smith, Nebraska, grandchildren, Ted and his wife Tammy Romer, Bret and his wife Debbie Pritchard, Brian Pritchard, Terry Pritchard, Eric and his wife Yuliya Pritchard, Ronald Pritchard Jr., Shannon Pritchard, great grandchild, Leah Romer, Kyle Romer, Amber Pritchard, Ricky Pritchard, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Reginald Mace, Maurice Mace and Frank Mace. Mabel was born on November 27, 1919, the daughter of Harry G. and Violet O. Davies Mace. She graduated from Canton High School and then graduated from Utica State Hospital in 1946 as a registered nurse. Mabel was a registered nurse for Home Care for Cortland County Inc. and also had worked at various nursing homes and hospitals in New York and Florida. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, word games, cards, reading, sewing, and walking. She loved to learned, taking German and painting classes. Mabel was a member of the Women’s Republican Club in Binghamton, the First Presbyterian Church on the Park in Canton and the Post Script Club. She participated in the Senior Games in bicycling and bait casting.
