Andrea R. Loiselle
Andrea R. Loiselle, 76, of Potsdam, died on July 15, 2025, at Canton Potsdam Hospital, Allen-Denesha Funeral Home, DeKalb Junction, entrusted with arrangements. There will be no services. Burial will be in Kansas at a later date. Andrea is survived by her son, Chris and his wife Akie Baba Coleman of Shaumburg, Illinois, her brother David and his wife Barbara Loiselle of Cherokee, Kansas, her sister, Diane and her husband Harvey LaBarge of DeKalb Junction, 2 grandchildren, Alyssa Coleman, Rei Coleman, several nieces and nephews. Andrea was born on January 2, 1949 in Central Falls, Rhode Island to the late Paul and Ruth Burns Loiselle. She graduated from Pittsburg High School, then attended Pittsburg State University and earned her Doctor of Optometry at Southern College of Optometry. A marriage to David Coleman ended in divorce. Andrea was an optometrist in many practices in Atlanta, Georgia until her retirement in the north country. She enjoyed reading and cooking. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
I am so saddened hearing of Aunt Andrea’s passing. Though I had not seen her in many years she always held a special place in my heart. My heart and prayers go out to the family.
I worked for Dr Loiselle I would call her Doc but she was more like family to me and it is so hurting breaking to now my friend is gone. She kept me laughing with her stories of the people she encountered and I would do the same for her never a dull moment with us. We had this dream of being rich and give the other some of the money but if that does happen for me I plan on giving to a cancer center since I had breast cancer and Doc was right there when I woke up and for the birth of my twins. To her son Chris I know how much your mom loved you and your family you would light up talking about her grandkids.
